Read This If You Are Scared To Move On

Moving on can be one of the scariest things. There was this person who was a huge part of your life for longer than you can even remember. They were the love of your life, your best friend, and even your family.

This was the person you did everything with. They ran little errands with you, you binged watched Netflix together, you ate together, you slept together, and they were the person you shared every bit of your life with.

They knew about all of your interests, your insecurities, and your fears. They listened to you talk about your day at work and you caught them up on all of your gossips. They were the person that was there even when nobody else was.

Of course, you aren’t going to get over this person overnight. Of course, it is going to take a great deal of time to be ready to throw yourself into someone else again.

It’s a terrifying thought to open up to someone in the way that you did this person. It is so normal to be afraid to let someone in after you lost the person that knew you better than you knew yourself.

Give yourself time. Don’t let anyone rush you or tell you how you should feel. This is your journey. You get to take all of the time you need.

Nobody shared the relationship the two of you shared except for the two of you. Therefore, it’s nobody’s business how long it takes you to move on or get back into the dating game.

You deserve all of the time in the world to heal from what you have lost. You deserve all of the time in the world to get yourself back after losing the person who meant everything to you.

So please, don’t feel like you need to rush to move on. Don’t feel like you need to rush to fill the void. Take all of the time you need.

It’s okay to be scared.
